First week back at UA!

Hey friends! I have been busy, busy, busy this past week since school started but I wanted to give you a few life updates!! So, without further ado... let us continue!!

I know this might be coming a little later than every news outlet in the country, but you know I must talk about this first. The City of Tuscaloosa held a memorial service for the best coach out this past week... Yes, the time is finally upon us, and Nick Saban has announced his retirement from the University of Alabama football team. Cry, cry, and cry was all we Bama fans did for multiple days last week. It was the end of an Era. If not, THE era of college football.

People all over campus gathered around his statue Wednesday night after it was announced and paid respects for what he did for Bama football. But, as we all know, good things must end, and Coach Saban was eventually going to have to retire.

With that, I officially started my second semester at UA, and I could not be more excited! And with this new semester beginning, means new opportunities. As most of you know I am a writer for the University of Alabama's school newspaper, The Crimson White. While I am still writing for CW, I am also getting to intern and shadow for WVUA 23 in Bryant Denny Stadium! For those who are not familiar with WVUA, is a commercial television station owned and operated by UA. With this, I can shadow reporters and producers, and learn what goes on behind the scenes of a news station.

As you have heard me say multiple times, UA is the best place to be.

Part of my first week back at school, I got the opportunity to shadow the women's gymnastics matchup against Missouri on Friday and it was AMAZING. I have never been able to attend one so getting to sit and watch in media row and attend the press conference with the athletes and Head Coach was an experience I will never forget. Alabama stayed ahead the entire meet and ended up taking the win against Missouri.

So, I would call my first week back at UA a success. Now, if only Alabama football players would stop entering the transfer portal, it would be even better!

Thank you for reading this week's blog post! I know this one is much shorter than the rest, but I plan on making at least one blog post per week to keep you better updated on my life at UA. Don't forget to like and comment on this post and if you haven't read my others please do! Have a great week and ROLL TIDE!!
