Figuring it all out :)))

Wow!! It has been some time since my last blog post... life gets busy, but I decided to write again and (fingers crossed) get my blog back going!! Now as many of you know, I am a junior at The University of Alabama. And I in my second year at UA, so I have had my ups and downs with friendships, I'm sure many of you have as well! It is just a part of life.

Yes, I know that sucks. But we have to make the best of it anyway, because what is life without hardships?? Am I right?

Everyone thinks when you get away from parents, that hometown situationship and the small town you grew up in, you think everything will be just perfect. And yes, college is amazing, but it doesn't mean you have battles like anyone else would.

College is all about finding yourself, finding your true friends that you know will last a lifetime and yeah maybe a couple of boyfriends here and there (or if you're like me, just friends :)). And that's okay!! College is all about what is good for YOU!! Making those dumb decisions, going out when you know you have that 8 a.m. the next day and just experiencing life. I mean when else are you going to do it, except when you're in college?

One thing I've learned is not every friendship sticks and again that's okay. All of us are changing and some stay and some don't. One thing I have found that has helped me is sticking with the ones who want what is best for me.

I honestly could not ask for a better group of friends in college. I met all of them in my first year here at UA and it truly was a blessing. I also have four best friends at a different school and one amazing friend back home from where I am from. The City of OPPORTUNITY!! And of course, my sister is finally here with me so that is even better.

I guess what I am trying to put down is yes, college is all about going to class, being that academic weapon and hopefully landing that six-figure salary when you graduate... but it's also about finding yourself and finding friendships that are going to make the experience what it should be... worthwhile.

So, whether you are an incoming freshman, transfer or living in a new city and don't really know anyone, get yourself out there!! I met one of my best friends in a class with 100 + students because we randomly sat beside each other one day and gossiped over what we love most... sports and books!!

Get involved in a club, activity, or even just a group project outside of school hangout! Join a sorority, fraternity or whatever works best for you. One of the best things about college is YOU can make your own decisions without that hometown mean people whispering about you or your parents making you second guess your decisions. You can make bad, good or questionable decisions because it's your college experience!!

This post is a tad different than my last, but I felt it was important to share!! College can be such a special time when you do it how you want to!! Thank you all for reading and if you haven't read the others please do! ALSO, don't forget to rate, like and comment on this story and pasts so I can know what y'all think! Have a great rest of the week and of course... ROLL TIDE!!!
